“The wall whisperer”.

 

I study and use colors to change the appearance, the lighting and the shape of homes and venues. I chose to undertake an artistic study carreer, which ended with the graduation at Brera academy of Arts (Scenography), because I have always felt the need to use my hands to create, possibly using “poor” materials and ranging from small objects to whole settings.

 

During my travels, especially in - then still closed- China, I discovered what was going to become a lifelong passion: the artisanal use of materials such as hemp and paper. After a 20-year-long career as a scenographer in the Milan area and as decorator in the region of Marche, I started to present my own eco-friendly projects to small local businesses, architects and privates.

 

This process led me to open my own studio, within the walls of one of the most ancient “corti” in Rho, my hometown: I was finally ready to listen to my inner voice. The space, LabInCorte, which I opened five years ago, attracts and is a base for different professionals, other than myself. As a scenographer, I have always preferred to stay away from the spotlight, to look “within” and “from behind” rather than standing in the center of the stage. Hence the coice of the old, somewhat isolated corte as our headquarter, but with the aim to revitalize it!

 

In 2016, in spite of the crisis (“no recession can stop Cristmas!”) and really believing in our own resilience, I took on a big project within the walls of a local agritourism, to realize a small dream of mine: create an entire line of visual merchandising following my own principles: striving towards being eco-friendly and km 0, thus bringing together the fast world of visual merchandising and circular econmy. No waste, upcycled materials: this is LabInCorte’s philosophy.

 

In the meantime, we give colour to many other projects.
