Our goal is to make our work walk around outside of the working space. We translate our thoughts into styles, drawings and colours. But we thought to ourselves: “how inconvenient would it be, to be walking around carrying a wall, or with a piece of furniture on our backs!” This is why we decided to use fabrics, and possibly the most sustainable ones (hemp and linen) as a vehicle, as a connection point. Inpiration thus becomes a pendant, a jacket, a bag… it’s not only what it looks like. This is ArteAddosso.
Every one of our pieces’ job is to tell some story about whoever wears it. They are fluid manufacts: a woman’s bag can be used by a man. A towel can become a wallhanging, a tablecloth, a sarong. They can be used in the day-to-day life but also for special occasions.
Just like one’s home, one’s bag can be a way of expressing one’s lifestyle.
"Other than paper, it also works on fabric: from silk to cotton, linen, hemp, gauze and voile. One can apply this technique to the whole piece of fabric or just to a small section, and it is possible to use multiple colours by layering them, in order to obtain other effects.
By applying molten wax to some fabric and then crumbling it, the result will be a “craquelè” effect. By dripping wax spontaneousely on the fabric, yet another effect can be achieved. Pinching, tieing, folding, rolling up, stamping or scratching the fabric before dyeing it, we can obtain countless results, and each of them will be interesting and beautiful.
